Major and Earl |
From The Little Kingdom
First Reader by Nettie Alice Sawyer1912, Rand
McNally & Company. (Hey a picture is a Picture!) The story: See what a big dog I am. My name is Major. Do you see this little boy? His name is Earl. Earl and I are playfellows. One day we were playing at the river. Earl was sailing his little boat. I was watching him The wind took the boat out too far. Then Earl tried to get it. Poor little boy! He fell into the deep river. What do you think I did then? I jumped right into the water and swam out to Earl. Then I took him by his coat and swam to shore. [Well it is a First Reader] |
